Bio

Alexx had never intended to be a medical examiner. She'd wanted to be a doctor for most of her life, and with her obsessive tendencies and infallible patience, surgery seemed to be the field she was meant to be in. Everything changed during her internship when she neglected to let her attending know of a mistake on a patient's chart. As a result, said patient died on the operating table and Alexx was kicked out of her internship program. Her degree wasn't taken away, but her reputation in New York was ruined. So, with the support of her new husband and family, she moved to Miami. Much to her surprise, when the new Miami-Dade facilities opened, someone approached her about taking the chief medical examiner position. She readily accepted the position and has never looked back since.
